Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: 2026-08-30
StarBuy earns money through affiliate links. When you tap “Get Deal” and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. You never pay more because of it — the price is the same as it would be if you went to the retailer directly.
This is required disclosure under the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), and we would tell you anyway.
What commissions do not influence
Whether a deal appears on StarBuy is decided by our verification pipeline, not by what pays best. A deal is published only when we confirm the price is live and, where we can find competitor listings, that ours is the lowest we found. A deal that fails those checks is rejected regardless of commission rate.
Feed ranking is driven by user votes and recency. Commission rates are not an input to ranking, and we do not accept payment for placement.
Where our prices come from
Prices shown for other retailers are real listings we retrieved and matched to the same product, with the date we checked them. We do not estimate competitor prices, and we do not present an old price as if it were current. If we could not confirm a comparison, we say so instead of implying one.
Prices change constantly. Always confirm the final price on the retailer's own page before you buy.
